Have some questions?

(F.A.Qs)

Q. We want to book! What are the next steps?

A. Awesome! We are excited to work with you. To officially book us you will need to sign our online contract and pay a non-refundable booking fee of $2000 towards your package. As soon as those two things are in BOOM! You're booked and on our calendar.

Q. Can you pencil us in for ____ date?

A. Unfortunately, no, we can't. The only way to reserve your date with us is to sign a contract and pay the booking fee.
Dates are first come first serve.

Q. Can we make payments on the final invoice?

A. Sure! Let us know when you book that you would like to set up a monthly payment plan and we will hook you up. Or, once booked, you can always go into your private client access and make payments at any time.

Q. When is our remaining balance due?

A. Your remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding date. An automated reminder will be sent out VIA e-mail to help you keep track of your final payment.

Q. Can I pay with a credit card? Or with cash to save on sales tax?

A. The retainer must be paid by check or cash. But! The rest of your balance may be put on a credit card VIA your personal client page. If you would like to pay by cash that is totally cool. But! If you are a CA resident we are required by law to collect sales tax on your full package.

Q. Can we make our final payment after the wedding?

A. The only payments that can be made after the wedding are print payments for items ordered after the contract was signed. The final invoice is due 30 days before your event.

Q. Are there Travel Fees for our wedding?

A. For weddings in Southern California or Indiana we do not charge additional travel fees. We spend time in both states throughout the year and the majority of our weddings are in California although we are currently residing in Indiana. For areas outside of these regions please contact us for a travel estimate. For engagements in California we book those around already scheduled travel dates only. If you need a specific date there are significant fees for us to come out for one session based on our costs and time.

Q. Can we make prints from our digital download and USB?

A. Absolutely! All the photos on your USB and in your download are high resolution with no watermarks or anything, so you can make prints anywhere you would like. Or you can order professional prints from your online gallery.

Q. Can we drop hours from our package to lower the price?

A. The Foundation package is our minimum booking for Fridays-Sundays.

Q. Do we have to add albums now or can we order them later?

A. Our Foundation package includes a gorgeous base album that can be upgraded but you can order additional copies (for parents etc) at any time. Our album prices are guaranteed to stay the same for a year after your wedding date.

Q. Do we have to pay Sales Tax?

A.  If items will be delivered in Indiana, yes.

Q. Do you mind if our family members take photos at the wedding and reception?

A. Of course not! Tell Aunt Susie to snap away! The only time we ask others not to shoot is when we are doing First Looks or your private portraits/group photos. We may also politely ask family members to adjust their position if it is affecting our ability to shoot events as they happen. All of that being said, you might want to bear in mind that if Aunt Susie is getting up on stage with you during your vows, she is going to be in our photos of your vows. If that’s cool with you, it’s cool with us.

Q. We have a break between our ceremony and reception. Can we break up our hours?

A. Our basic package includes 8 consecutive hours of coverage. Which means even if there is a break, we will only be on the clock for 8 hours. If you need additional hours they can be added to your package for $650/hr.

Q. What if our reception runs later than expected? Can you stay until the very end to capture our grand exit or additional events?

A. Of course! If you need to add a little extra time on the day-of that is usually not a problem. Additional time will be billed as soon as we are back in the office and we will get working on your photos once the overtime invoice has been paid. The rate for overtime on the day of is the same as our pre-paid rate of $650/hr.

Q. Wait, where do you live?

A. We moved to Indiana in the beginning of 2022 and love it (although of course we miss beautiful California too). We travel to California for weddings with no travel fees since we started our business in California in 2008 and have photographed over 350 weddings on the west coast. This does mean that availability for other sessions is limited to when we travel for weddings or family events though.

Q. We are concerned about the health of our friends/family members, and wedding vendors. Do you mind sharing your vaccination status?

A. We appreciate your care for your friends, family, and wedding vendors! We are fully vaccinated (including a booster) for covid-19. We are happy to also wear masks whenever possible if requested by our couples.
